FRIDAY DUB ROUND-UP: ICE MELT PATS 4-2

Arshdeep Bains scored three goals and added an assist to power the Red Deer Rebels past the Calgary Hitmen 8-1 in WHL action Friday night.

Red Deer led 3-1 after the first period before putting the contest away with four goals in the second.

In other action, it was: Edmonton Oil Kings 4, Lethbridge Hurricanes 0; Moose Jaw Warriors 4, Prince Albert Raiders 1; Winnipeg Ice 4, Regina Pats 2; Saskatoon Blades 4, Medicine Hat Tigers 0; Kelowna Rockets 4, Kamloops Blazers 2; Everett Silvertips 5, Seattle Thunderbirds 4 (OT); and Spokane Chiefs 3, Tri-City Americans 0.

Liam Keeler added two goals for Red Deer (3-2-1-0) while Blake Stevenson, Christoffer Sedoff and Kai Uchacz had the others.

Sean Tschigerl scored for Calgary (1-3-0-0).

Edmonton Oil Kings 4, Lethbridge Hurricanes 0

At Edmonton, Sebastian Cossa stopped 25 shots to register the shutout. Luke Prokop scored twice for the Oil Kings.

Moose Jaw Warriors 4, Prince Albert Raiders 1

At Prince Albert, Sask., Brayden Yager, Ryder Korczak and Denton Mateychuk all scored third-period goals to power Moose Jaw to the victory.

Winnipeg Ice 4, Regina Pats 2

At Regina, Skyler Bruce and Owen Pederson scored third-period goals to break a 2-2 tie and earn Winnipeg the win. Cole Carrier and Borya Valis scored for the Pats. Connor Bedard was held pointless and was minus-3 for the Pats, who outshot the ICE 28-21. Regina visits Winnipeg Saturday at 7:00 pm CT.

Saskatoon Blades 4, Medicine Hat Tigers 0

At Saskatoon, Nolan Maier stopped 26 shots while Kyle Crnkovic scored twice to pace the Blades. Tristen Robins also registered three assists.

Kelowna Rockets 4, Kamloops Blazers 2

At Kelowna, B.C., Colton Dach scored twice, including the winner in the third period, for the Rockets.

Everett Silvertips 5, Seattle Thunderbirds 4 (OT)

At Seattle, Alex Swetlikoff forced overtime for Everett with a short-handed goal at 14:10 of the third before Ben Hemmerling scored the overtime winner.

Spokane Chiefs 3, Tri-City Americans 0

At Kennewick, Wash., Mason Beaupit stopped 18 shots for the shutout while Jack Finley had a goal and an assist for the Chiefs.
