NBA

Kyle Lowry is re-signing with his hometown Philadelphia 76ers. The six-time all-star announced his decision on Instagram. ESPN reports Lowry is agreeing to a one-year deal. The veteran guard won the NBA title with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and topped the Olympic podium with the U-S in 2016.

CFL

The Montreal Alouettes are unbeaten no more. Toronto scored touchdowns on offence, defence and special teams to hand the defending Grey Cup champs a 37-18 setback for their first loss of the CFL season. Janarion Grant sparked the Argonauts with a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the dying moments of the first half after Montreal lost starting quarterback Cody Fajardo to an apparent hamstring injury. The Alouettes dropped to 5-and-1, while the Argos sit at 3-and-2.
