Commentary: A First
(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on the All New Hits 98 CKHD & LTD Radio)
A coupla three or so thoughts entering the weekend:
#1– It’s definitely the nitty grit of the CFL season! While I liked the four-games-in-four-days format the league’s used all summer, Friday and Saturday doubleheaders aren’t bad either.
And a case can be made for all four games this weekend to be named Canada’s Game of the Week.
Tonight Toronto can knock Hamilton out of the playoff race with a win at BMO Field while the Stampeders can do the same to the Riders at McMahon Stadium.
It’s playoff time come early!
I know what I’ll be doing tonight.
#2 – My friends and RP Show viewers are getting a kick out of the latest development in my life. I’ve been diagnosed with painful bursitis in my heel and the guy said it’s because of “over-use (too much running), and … age.”
I’ve been told to rest and been fitted with special shoes.
Sigh. … here it is.
And it’s another case of me doing things backwards.
Most people get old and move to Florida. On the other hand, I moved to Florida and then got old.
Trust me, I’m not complaining. Just contemplating.
This is a first.
And #3 – We definitely favor individuality around here. I mean, on this commentary.
The NHL preseason fires up on Saturday and while I understand some people may not be into it – especially with so much great football going on – I’m really looking forward to it.
The Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers host Nashville in an exhibition doubleheader on Sunday at Amerant Bank Arena.
I can think of no finer place to be!
Maybe those others are right – perhaps this is the most wonderful time of year after all.
That’s today’s Rod Pedersen Commentary.

Football and hockey – autumn..
God created a beautiful creation.
As we change our fitness can adjust. I go with Oxygen Yoga classes and moved my gym pass back the the YMCA. Low impact – aqua size starts this Sunday.
This will be a great CFL weekend. Hopefully Calgary wins and does so adhering to #attendance0
