COORS LIGHT RECAP: HURRICANES TOP PATS 4-1

REGINA – The Regina Pats got 34 saves from Max Paddock in a 4-1 defeat at home to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon at the Brandt Centre.

In the first, the Pats outshot the Hurricanes 13-8 but neither team would score, and it was scoreless after the opening period.

In the second, the Hurricanes scored three times in the first 13 minutes, Nick Henry, Jordy Bellerive and Dylan Cozens with the markers and Lethbridge led 3-0. The Pats got on the board at 14:23 on the powerplay, Austin Pratt tipped home his 24th to make it a 3-1 game. The Hurricanes responded 32 seconds later on a goal from Jake Elmer and it was 4-1 after two periods.

In the third, the Pats outshot the Hurricanes 10-9 but the period went scoreless and Lethbridge took the two points in a 4-1 final.

The Pats outshot the Hurricanes 39-38. The powerplay was 1/5 while the penalty kill went 3/3. Max Paddock made 34 saves.
