Former Texas quarterback Vince Young, who led the Longhorns to a national title win in the 2006 BCS National Championship, was reportedly arrested for DWI early Monday morning, according to a report by TMZ.

TMZ reports Young was arrested by the Fort Bend Police department after being pulled over around 4 a.m. Monday morning. Young later posted bail after he was booked into Fort Bend County Jail, according to police reports obtained by TMZ.

The reported arrest would mark the second time the ex-NFL quarterback has been popped for driving while intoxicated. Young was arrested on suspicion of DWI in 2016, though pled no contest and was sentenced to 18 months probation.

Young led Texas to Rose Bowl victories in back-to-back seasons, including the most memorable performance in Texas football history when he led the charge in the 2006 BCS National Championship game against USC, and brought home the Longhorns’ first national title in 35 years. Young’s performance in the historic 41-38 BCS National Championship win over the Trojans earned him an induction into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame, which he was honored with in 2018.

Young last was on a pro football field when he was in training camp with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2017.
