Security attempted to calm both fighters and their camps.

The Yankees have grabbed home-field advantage away from the Red Sox in their American League Division Series. Gary Sanchez homered twice as the Yankees beat Boston, 6-2 at Fenway Park, evening the series at a game apiece. And the Houston Astros head to Cleveland for Game 3 of their A-L Division Series with a 2-0 lead after a 3-1 win against the Indians.

It was a much-needed victory for the the B-C Lions in Vancouver. Jeremiah Johnson rushed for 118 yards as B-C beat the Toronto Argonauts 26-23. The 7-and-7 Lions are chasing the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers for a playoff berth with four weeks to go in the regular season.

Rookie Elias Pettersson gave Canucks fans something to cheer about in a 7-4 loss to the Flames in Calgary. The 19-year-old scored two goals and assisted on another and has five points in his first two career NHL games. Johnny Gaudreau had a goal and two assists for Calgary.

Max Pacioretty has his first goal with Vegas. The former Montreal captain scored late in the third period as his Golden Knights went on to a 2-1 shootout win over Minnesota. Meanwhile, Carey Price made 21 saves as the Canadiens beat the Penguins 5-1 in Pittsburgh. Thomas Chabot scored twice in Ottawa’s 5-3 road win over Toronto. And Winnipeg was beaten 5-1 by Dallas on the road.

Toronto F-C won’t be winning another MLS championship, at least this season. The Vancouver Whitecaps kept their season alive while also eliminating TFC from the playoffs with a 2-1 win at BMO Field.
