Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Zach Collaros has passed concussion protocol tests and, barring unexpected setbacks, he’s expected back at practice in preparation for the Riders game against the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday.

Collaros left the Banjo Bowl against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after taking a hit in the fourth quarter. He was driven into the turf after Bombers defender Jeff Hecht came in unblocked off the edge causing a fumble that was recovered by Winnipeg.

Brandon Bridge entered the game for Collaros, who had thrown from 173 yards and an interception, and guided the Riders the rest of the way in a 32-27 at Investors Group Field.

The injury might have been a concern given that Collaros missed games earlier this season with a head injury and also sat out three games due to a head injury in 2016 and missed time in 2014 after suffering a concussion.
