RED SOX TAKE 2-1 SERIES LEAD

REGINA – The Red Sox jumped out to a 7-0 lead and then needed a run in the bottom of the 10th to beat Swift Current 10-9 Thursday at Currie Field in WMBL playoff action. In championship fashion, Swift Current battled back and took a 9-7 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning. Regina needed a two-run home run from Brooks Stotler to send the game in to extra innings. 

Red Sox catcher Matt DeNeau picked up a RBI in the 10th inning that scored Adam De La Cruz to end the game. Earlier in the contest, Deneau helped the Red Sox gain an early lead with a grand slam in the bottom of third.

Offensively for Edmonton Myles Miller had three RBI and a hit

Adam De La Cruz came on to face one batter in the top of the 10th. He earned the win after striking out Ruben Rodriquez. Swift Current reliever Tommy Steier suffered the extra inning loss.
