PATS SIGN EUROPEAN DRAFT CLASS

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed both Sergei Alkhimov and Nikita Sedov to Standard WHL Player Agreements.

Alkhimov was taken in the first round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft, 47th overall. The 17-year-old from Russia played the 2017-18 season with the Colorado Evolution and scored eight goals and 15 assists in 13 games.

Sedov was the Pats second round pick, 107th overall, out of Moscow, Russia. Sedov, 17, also played with the Colorado Evolution last year, picking up three goals and 11 points in 11 games.

“We are very happy to have both players commit to our organization,” said Pats General Manager John Paddock. “Sergei and Nikita are coming in at 17 and will be a big part of our team for the next few years.”

Both Alkhimov and Sedov are currently in training camp with Team Russia, competing for a spot at the 2018 Hlinka/Gretzky Cup.

Pats season ticket holders have until July 15 to renew their packages for 2018-19. Season tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 20 at 10 a.m. The Pats will open training camp in August while the season will get underway on September 21 in Prince Albert and Regina’s home opener is the 22 against the Raiders at the Brandt Centre.
