RUSH TO HONOUR NIPAWIN HAWKS BEFORE WEST FINAL

Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatchewan Rush will welcome and honour the Nipawin Hawks at Sunday’s NLL Western Final. Players, coaches, and staff of the team will be welcomed onto Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre for a pre-game ceremonial ball-drop.

The reigning SJHL Champions had a historic regular season, finishing with a 43-8-7 record for 93 points. Nipawin advanced to the SJHL Championship, defeating the Estevan Bruins in a 7-game series to win the Canalta Cup. Both teams played with heavy hearts in light of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy.

“We look forward to recognizing the Nipawin Hawks for a tremendous season of hockey. The Hawks organization has represented the entire province incredibly as SJHL Champions, playing for all of Saskatchewan in the Anavet Cup. They have made us very proud!” – Saskatchewan Rush Owner, Bruce Urban

SJHL Commissioner Bill Chow will also be in attendance, accompanying the Hawks onto Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre to participate in the ceremonial ball-drop.
