LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Beck Malenstyn scored twice as Swift Current toppled the Hurricanes to win the Eastern Conference final in six games.

Aleksi Heponiemi, Matteo Gennaro and Giorgio Estephan also scored for the Broncos, who took the best-of-seven series 4-2.

Calen Addison opened the scoring for the Hurricanes before Swift Current responded with five unanswered goals.

Stuart Skinner made 33 saves for the Broncos _ including 19 in the first period as Swift Current was outshot 20-2. Logan Flodell turned aside 22-of-26 shots for Lethbridge.

KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips went from getting ready to prepare for a Game 7 against the Tri-City Americans to advancing to the Western Hockey League final in a little over 15 minutes.

Kevin Davis capped the comeback 5:58 into overtime as the Silvertips rallied to beat the Americans 6-5 on Monday in Game 6 of their Western Conference final, taking the series 4-2.

Patrick Bajkov and Davis each scored twice for Everett, which trailed 5-2 before Connor Dewar started the comeback at 9:52 of the third period. Garrett Pilon scored the tying goal at 14:29 of the third while Matt Fonteyne tacked on three assists.

Kyle Olson had a pair of goals and Morgan Geekie, Michael Rasmussen and Jordan Topping also scored for Tri-City. Juuso Valimaki chipped in with four helpers.

Carter Hart made 18 saves for the win while Patrick Dea turned away 36-of-42 shots in a losing cause.

The Silvertips went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Americans scored on both of their chances with the man advantage.

Everett will face Swift Current for the Ed Chynoweth Cup. The Broncos host Game 1 of the WHL final on Friday.
