RED SOX CLIMB BACK INTO FIRST

The Red Sox extended their winning streak to three games with a commanding 10-3 win over Moose Jaw Monday at Currie Field.

The win put Regina back into a tie with idle Swift Current for first place in the Eastern Division

Red Sox newcomer Brendan Hornung, the senior from Hawaii, made his WMBL debut. He pitched 5.2 innings before handing the ball to eventual winner Ruddy Estrella.

Miller Express ace Mitchell Robinson pitched six strong innings before turning things over to the Moose Jaw bullpen. Travis Edgar gave up four runs on two hits and a walk.

Broderick Rodocker smacked his eighth homer of the season to give the Red Sox a three-run lead in the fourth inning.

Moose Jaw battled back with three in the top of the fifth. Not to be out done the Sox scored four runs in their half of the seventh inning to make the score 7-3. Regina added three insurance runs in the eighth inning to extend the lead to 10-3

The Red Sox are back on the field Tuesday for Saskatchewan Day as all Alberta teams visit their Saskatchewan rivals. Fort McMurray will be in Regina for a 7pm date.

To celebrate all minor baseball players will get free admission to game if they were their team hat or uniform.
