RED SOX SWEEP MOOSE JAW

Justin Erlandson’s three run homer in the 2nd inning set the tone for this game. The booming shot was his sixth of the season. Catcher Corey Henderson singled home two runs to increase the Red Sox lead to 6-0 in the sixth. Regina added three insurance runs late in the game to make the final 9-0 over Moose Jaw.

The first-place Red Sox now 19-8 have now won three in a row while the Miller Express, 15-14 have dropped their last three.

657 fans at Currie Field watched happily as Justin Erlandson had two hits and three RBI. Aden Campbell added four hits and an RBI in the shutout win.        

Lane Harvey the lone Moose Jaw bright spot with a pair of hits.

Regina starter Jake Waters pitched a superb seven shutout innings. He only allowed three hits and two walks. The right-hander from Arkansas Pine Bluff threw 123 pitches in the game including 76 strikes in victory.

Preston Minor and Justin Magstadt preserved the shutout for Waters.

Hunter Kloke was roughed up in his five innings of action. He gave up 10 hits and six runs in the loss. Moose Jaw used three relievers to get them through the rest of the game.
