RED SOX DOWN BEAVERS 10-4

In the battle of the top two Saskatchewan teams, the Regina Red Sox showed why they are the team to beat in the Eastern Division. Regina scored eight runs in the first two innings and then coasted to a 10-4 victory at Tom Laing Park

Austin Alarid got the start for Regina. Alarid lasted 5.2 innings before handing the ball to relievers Preston Minor and Ruddy Estrella. This bullpen dual worked together to toss 3.1 shutout innings to clinch the victory.

Austin Gurr, had a rough outing for the Beavers. He was hammered for eight runs on four hits and four walks.

Offensively the Red Sox were lead by Derek Slate who had three hits and a RBI. Aden Campbell had a homer and four RBI for Regina.

Weyburn outfielder Carlos Flores had a good night despite the final score. Flores was three for four with a double.

Regina is back on the diamond Thursday night when they host Swift Current at Currie Field. Game time 7pm.
