RED SOX 6 BEAVERS 5

It was a great night of baseball at Tom Laing Park in Weyburn. The Regina Red Sox improved to 9-3 with their extra inning 6-5 victory over the Beavers. Weyburn is now 6-7.

Derek Slate smacked a triple to score Phil Langlois for the go ahead run in the extra frame.

Kevin Borst was near perfect in three innings of relief for the win. Borst has not allowed a run in his three appearances this season.

Corey Henderson had three hits and Jordan Schulz added a pair of hits and two runs for Regina
.
Ulysses Fluellen, the senior from Spring Hill College had a homer in a losing cause. Luis Jimenez, playing his first game of the season for Weyburn, chipped in three hits including two doubles.

Eric Evans, who took the loss, gave up two hits and the Red Sox winning run.

Regina travels to Moose Jaw Saturday night to face the Miller Express.
