AIR CANADA TO START VS WINNIPEG

SASKATOON – Roughriders Head Coach & GM Chris Jones announced after Friday’s walk-through that Canadian QB Brandon Bridge will start Saturday’s preseason game against Winnipeg at New Mosaic Stadium.

Jones said he “thought long and hard” about which direction to go, but settled on the 3-year veteran Bridge. Jones didn’t say how much he’ll play, but next up in the rotation will be Bryan Bennett followed by rookie Marquise Williams.

Veteran Kevin Glenn wasn’t mentioned.
