BINGHAM TO THE RAVENS? NOT SO FAST

It’s football’s version of a love triangle.

Rookie defensive back Zavian Bingham Tweeted a thank you to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday for the “opportunity”.
That’s led many in football to believe the NFL’s Ravens have extended a tryout to the Jackson State product, who starred in Saskatchewan Roughriders Minicamp in Florida this week with four interceptions in just two days’ work.
However unfortunately for Bingham’s NFL chances, he’s signed property of the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the next two years.
Now the Riders may be willing to let the 5’10”, 190 lb product of Terry, Mississippi out of his deal in order to work out for Baltimore, however club officials told me Saturday night that they have yet to hear from the Ravens or Bingham’s agent.
Don’t forget, the Riders did the legwork to identify Bingham while with the Tigers, sign him, and bring him to camp. Plus, they have a need at halfback with the loss of Justin Cox. If they do what’s best for the team, they’ll hold him to his CFL deal.
Bingham later Tweeted that he and Roughriders Head Coach & GM Chris Jones “have an understanding”.

That could mean that Bingham will return to the Roughriders if his tryout with the Ravens is unsuccessful.

Or, it could mean something else entirely.

Stay tuned.
