MCCALLUM TO RE-JOIN LIONS

Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com is reporting the BC Lions are signing veteran kicker Paul McCallum for the remainder of the 2016 season.

The 46-year old McCallum signed a one-day contract to retire as a Lion on March 7, however he’s coming out of retirement to help the Leos.

Current Lions kicker Richie Leono missed two field goals and two converts in Saturday’s 24-6 win at Saskatchewan.

The Lions are 11-6 and currently hold down second place in the CFL West Division with one week remaining.

B.C. hosts the Roughriders this Saturday to close out the regular season.

Robo kicker McCallum will be all the offensive scoring the Lions will need to punt the riders out into the manure laden pasture called saskatchewan. Next year country for those bums. Great signing Mr Buono. Mr Shivers… astute team scouting as always.

No knowledge? the first comment maybe cocky but if I remember correctly McCallum is one of the best in history of kicking in the CFL…may be old but I bet the guy can still kick. By the way Morgan where is your room to talk or laugh…3 years straight of no play-offs for the riders so you have a lack of knowledge.

I'm sure he'll be good still from inside 40 but he's not young and I doubt he's been training.

3 years straight with no play offs?? What a jack ass. Get your facts straight bone head before you try to sound like you know something. The Riders were 8-2 when Durant went down in 2014. The Riders were in the playoffs 2014 smart ass.

Oh yeah… 2014. That's the year the Riders couldn't produce a repeat championship after buying one then finishing third in the west division, getting their ass kicked by the Edmonton Eskimos in a semi final game. All down hill after a league colluded intervention gift to appease a organization structure who couldn't get the job done on their own.

It would be wonderful to see the Lions and the Redblacks in the Grey Cup with two old geezers (and future hall of famers) in uniform – Henry and Paul.

Someone needs a nap, I guess the Vancouver gray wet weather is creating a little root rot in the old cranium!

Lions fans can beat their chest as they point at the scoreboard, until they show the home attendance, at which point they put their heads down and shuffle to the exit with the other dozen or two that showed up with them.

Remember how Taman and O'Day were clueless for signing an old washed up to kicker. Maybe its Rider fans who are out of touch.

I wish the Riders would have hired him so that he could Kick A Few Asses on here with their "Childish Comments".

When McCallum broke into the league, he was suppose to replace Passaglia. 10 years later Passaglia was still playing, Paul is this generations Passaglia … ageless.

Okay not to many fans heads hang or really care about the attendance, most care about there team winning…guess you rider fans have to look upon something that's good…sure isn't your team. You can have the top attendance, that does not win you grey cups bud. Maybe you should worry about your team getting better rather then pay attention to attendance…if your attendance was bad also then what other top thing would you try to look at, maybe the colours of the team…attendance like really who cares, wonder how your attendance will be during play-offs Sask…getting my drift.

BC must fold

Youngest team in the league….new talent arriving or has arrived. The prospect of a high draft choice or choices next year. The indicator is definitely pointing up!

Oh, by the way, I will take either or both of our kids kicking instead of the fossil BC just signed!
