RED SOX 8 MILLIONAIRES 3

Regina starter Allan Sanchez collected his first win of the season as the Red Sox defeated Melville 8-3 Thursday night at Currie Field.

Sanchez was dominating in his eight innings of work, allowing just three runs on eight hits. He also struck out four of the 34 Millionaire batters he faced.

The Moneymen countered with starter Michael Harrison, who had a rough outing. Harrison gave up six runs and 11 hits over six innings.

A great crowd of 725, enjoyed the impressive offensive output by the Red Sox. Regina hitters banged out 13 hits and added six walks in the victory. For Regina, the MR Mikes Player of the Game, Korbin Polston, went three for five with two runs while second baseman Gabriel Montero contributed three RBI on two hits.

Ethan Mohn was the lone offensive bright spot for Melville as he went two for four at the plate. He also scored two runs.

The Red Sox, now 10-5, will be back on the field tomorrow in Yorkton and then host Swift Current on Saturday at Currie Field.
