KENT, WA – The Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 in overtime Tuesday night at ShoWare Center in Game 3 of the WHL Championship.

Reid Duke scored the game-winning goal in overtime with a wrist shot from the slot 2:59 into the extra period. Mitch Wheaton had the only assist on the goal.

The Wheat Kings now have a 3-0 series lead. Brandon won both Game 1 and Game 2 in overtime by the score of 3-2.

Game 4 of the WHL Championship will be a White Out Wednesday game on May 11. The first 5,000 fans at Game 4 will receive a special, limited edition FREE T-Birds white t-shirt. The puck drops at 7:05pm at ShoWare Center for Game 4.

Brandon outshot Seattle 35-24 in the game.

Seattle goalie Landon Bow made 32 saves on 35 shots.  Brandon’s Jordan Papirny stopped 22 of 24 shots.

Right about now Rod is working the phones trying to spread rumours that Kelly has the refs paid, laid and made. Can't let his nemesis win it in four straight games!
