STAMPEDERS 36 BLUE BOMBERS 8

WINNIPEG – Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 314 yards and two touchdowns as the Calgary Stampeders extended their winning streak to four games with a dominating 36-8 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday.

Calgary’s record improved to 7-2, while the Bombers lost their third straight game and fell to 3-6.

The Stampeders also scored two touchdowns off Winnipeg turnovers in front of an announced crowd of 27,148 at Investors Group Field.

An interception by Calgary’s Keon Raymond led to a seven-yard TD run by Tory Harrison, while defensive back Jamar Wall ran back a Robert Marve interception 29 yards for another touchdown.

Marve completed 12 of 20 pass attempts for 94 yards with two interceptions and no touchdowns for the Blue Bombers in his second pro start. He was replaced by Brian Brohm with eight minutes left in the game.

The Bombers are in desperate need of a better QB with Willy out for the year. They should have grabbed Tino when they had a chance. Now they should get on the horn with Kent Austin and work out a deal to get Tahj Boyd in Blue and Gold.
