LIONS 26 ESKIMOS 23
VANCOUVER – Travis Lulay threw a 31-yard touchdown to Andrew Harris with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter Thursday as the B.C. Lions stormed back to beat the Edmonton Eskimos 26-23.
Down five late, Lulay lobbed a pass up to Harris out of the backfield to give the Lions their first lead since early in the second quarter. The veteran quarterback then found Shawn Gore for a two-point conversion to give B.C. (3-3) a three-point edge.
Lulay threw a first-quarter touchdown to Manny Arceneaux, while Harris had 118 yards rushing and ran in another score. Richie Leone added a field goal and a punt single.
Matt Nichols threw touchdowns to Chad Simpson and Kenny Stafford, while Grant Shaw booted three field goals for the Eskimos (4-2), who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.
Edmonton’s defence, ranked No. 1 in the CFL, came in averaging 12.6 points against per game, and looked to have sealed the win when Aaron Grimes intercepted Lulay with 2:28 to go.
After the Lions got the ball back and went ahead, Nichols got the Eskimos into B.C. territory before getting picked off by Ronnie Yell on third down. Eskimos coach Chris Jones is being criticized for not kicking a 48-yard field goal with kicker Grant Shaw – who’s perfect on the season – in the final minute, and electing instead to go for it on 3rd-and-8.

Wonder if Gary Lawless has a "source" in Edmonton who will be saying that Chris Jones will be forced to bring in a defensive co-ordinator, so he can concentrate on being a head coach. LOL
To the first two anons; I'd gladly trade Chanblin for Jones!
Here's a quote from Chris Jones in today's Edmonton Sun.
“It felt like we were out-coached and outplayed in the second half,” said Jones.
I'm betting his players will rally around that a lot quicker than Chamblin's will with his 'it's everybody's fault but mine' attitude.

The interesting and telling thing is that you will never hear CC saying he was out coached. A tale of two teams I guess.

LOL Chris Jones! What were you thinking? Shaw hasn't missed a FG all year. That's just bad coaching. Even Chamblin knows better than that. Looks like the Grey Cup drought in Edmonton will continue for another year!
