RED SOX ROUT MOOSE JAW 13-6

The Regina Red Sox banged out 20 hits in their 13-6 pounding of the Moose Jaw Miller Express Thursday night.  409 fans were on hand at Ross Wells Park to witness the slugfest.

Gabe Snyder went three for six with two runs and an RBI, while Bryson Shelton was two for four with two runs and two RBIs. Both Snyder and Shelton homered for the Red Sox.

The outcome could have been much worse for Moose Jaw as the Red Sox also stranded 15 base runners in the contest.

Regina starter Skyler Shaw-Fuss grabbed the Red Sox win while Brandon Acosta was tagged with the loss.

The victory moves Regina (16-20) into sole possession of third place in the Saskatchewan Division, just one game behind the second place Yorkton Cardinals.

Regina returns to Currie Field for a two game home stand this weekend against the division leading Weyburn Beavers. Game time Saturday night is 7 pm.
