MAVERICKS 6 RED SOX 3

The Regina Red Sox fell 6-3 in Medicine Hat Tuesday night.  Regina led 3-2 heading into the bottom of the 8th inning but gave up 4 runs to the Mavericks.

Zach Weatherford was the Red Sox offensive star going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Brandon Vaughn also added a pair of hits for Regina.

Skyler Shaw-Fuss got the start for the Red Sox giving up 8 hits while facing 29 batters. Tommy Lay replaced Shaw-Fuss and was tagged for 4 runs before giving way to Mike Thill.

The two teams will meet again in a Canada Day rematch in Medicine Hat. Game time is set for 7 pm.

The Red Sox appear to be returning to the old sub pare, mediocre team they were for years. One good year and then fell apart.
