The Maple Leafs have now dropped 15 of their past 17 games in Buffalo as the Sabres edged Toronto 4-3. Matt Moulson and Matt Ellis scored less than two minutes apart in the third period as Buffalo erased a two-goal deficit for its second straight win.

Sidney Crosby notched his 300th NHL goal, but his Pittsburgh Penguins moved no closer to clinching a Stanley Cup playoff berth. Brayden Schenn scored twice and the Philadelphia Flyers ended a nine-game road losing streak by downing the Pens 4-1.

Lou Williams had a team-high 18 points and Tyler Hansbrough had his first double-double of the season as the Toronto Raptors downed the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-99. Hansbrough finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Vaughan, Ontario’s Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 25 points.

Russell Westbrook finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for his 10th triple-double of the season, but it wasn’t enough as his Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Dallas Mavericks 135-131. And Kamloops, B-C’s Kelly Olynyk had 19 points as the Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 100-87.

Canada’s Pat Simmons has secured himself a spot in Friday’s Page playoff 1-2 game at the world men’s curling championship. Canada beat Scotland 7-1 in evening play and sits tied with Norway atop the standings at 8-and-1. The defending champs from Norway handed Simmons his only loss of the tournament. Canada wlll play for pride in its final two round-robin draws Thursday.
