The Regina Pats come into the WHL Playoffs as the second seed in the East Division and finished with 85 points for the second straight year. Led by Adam Brooks’ 30 goals, the Pats boasted four players who topped the 25-goal mark and another four who hit the 20-goal plateau. Pats’ defenceman Colby Williams is coming off a productive season that saw him collect 41 points (11g-30a) to go along with a team-best plus-45 rating. Rookie Sam Steel enjoyed a fine season with the Pats scoring 54 points (17g-37a) in 61 games to finish fourth in WHL scoring amongst rookies. Goaltender Daniel Wapple collected 29 wins, posted a 3.03 goals against average along with a .906 save percentage and will likely get the start in the post-season.

The Swift Current Broncos battled their way into the 2015 WHL Playoffs after winning their regular season finale. Broncos’ leading scorer, and NHL draft-eligible forward, Jake DeBrusk scored a team-leading 42 goals along with 39 assists for 81 points while playing in all 72 games this season. Colby Cave is the only Broncos skater who closed out the 2014-15 regular season with a plus rating in the plus-minus category. The Swift Current Broncos have an outstanding ability in closing out games as they posted a record of 25-0-0-1 when leading after two periods of play this season. Expect Team Canada gold medalist Dillon Heatherington to play the lead role on the Broncos blueline. Goaltender Landon Bow had a strong season, but will get his first taste of playoff hockey.

Pats lost there last two games against PA and we're dominated in every aspect in the final game. You can say it was a meaningless game but the Raiders intimidated the Pats who were very "gun shy" by the end…I think the Pats will lose 4 straight…not that I hate the Pats but they are coming into the playoffs licking their
wounds…hopefully one Saskatchewan team can go deep in the playoffs.

Comical. The pats are not the toughest team by any means but they played very cautiously the last few games knowing they had nothing to play for and didn't wanna get hurt. It would be nice to playing better hockey but that's not the real pats you seen.

What did you think was going to happen in the final home game when the Pats sit 2 of there top 4 defensemen and basically were playing to not get hurt… the Pats haven't had anything to play for now for almost 3 weeks just survive with no injuries.

Roddy… Gabrielle will be a difference maker in this series and then you can shut up about how he needs to stop with his side show…. Remember Ryan Thomas did the same thing and you didn't hate him

So if someone states they don't like the way a particular player goes about things on the ice, he "hates" him?

What are you, eight years old?

Roddy, great show as always today. These buffoons who want all Riders need a life! This is a time for hockey and will be until Stanley Cup is decided. When Riders or CFL does something newsworthy, I know who to listen to. Those who think "the other guys" are so good can listen to them and guess what, they're talking a lot of hockey at this time of year too, although not as in depth as you. Your show is a perfect mix. I don't need to drink green koolaid every day. There really should be a Riders anonymous. The… Read more »

"Voice of Reason" sounds like "Voice of Treason"

All hail VOICE OF REASON. That being said, I am guessing you will be ALL over Pats Game 1 and the CFL rule changes tomorrow. As a listener, that is what I would expect. I stopped listening to CJME months ago because of their TMZ mentality, I admit I used to flip back and forth between the two shows to see what caught my interest. I do listen to Cage most of time, but I do listen to CJME morning show because I simply can't stand the morning news person you have and the way she completely botches sports. Keep… Read more »
