PAT C’s UP 1-0

The Regina Pat Canadians hosted the Battleford Stars in game one of the SMAAAHL championship series and skated to a 5-2 victory Saturday night at Cooperators Arena.   Saturday’s scorers for the Pat Canadians were Arthur Miller with two (2) goals and an assist.  Singles were scored by Riley Woods – who chipped in with 4 assists, Jake Tesarowski had a goal and an assist, Owen Sillinger also had a goal and an assist. The Canadians scored 3 of their 5 goals on the Power Play.   Clarke Flegel stopped 20 of 22 shots directed his way in the victory.   Scoring for the Battleford Stars were Tyler Baier and Owen Lamb.   Brett Pongracz stopped 30 of 35 shots directed his way.   Come cheer the Pat Canadians on for the league championship – they play game two in North Battleford on Tuesday, March 24 and game three back in Regina on Wednesday, March 25th at the Cooperators Arena.  Game starts at 7:45 pm on Wednesday.
