PAT C’S GET OUT THE BROOMS

The Regina Pat Canadians are moving on to round two of the SMAAAHL playoffs after completing a sweep of Yorkton with an 8-1 win Sunday evening at the Cooperators Arena.  The Pat C’s outscored the Maulers 20-3 in the series which lasted the minimum of three games.  The Pat Canadians now move on to play the Notre Dame Hounds.

Sunday’s game saw Tyran Brown score two goals and add an assist. Conner Chaulk also had two goals while Mathew Smishek, Bryce Platt, Owen Sillinger, and Arthur Miller added singles.

Clarke Flegel stopped 29 of 30 shots directed his way in the victory.

Scoring for the Yorkton RawTech Maulers was Tyler Stratechuk.  Carter Phair and Rylan Palchewich combined to stop 42 of 50 shots directed their way.

The Pat Canadians will host the Notre Dame Hounds in Round 2 – game dates and times are unavailable at this time.

Great job Pat C's! Even the grinders getting in on the scoring in that short series. Prediction: gonna take more than Notre Dame releasing the Hounds to slow this Sillinger-led blonde ambition tour down. Love it!
