YAY OR NAY TO SHEETS?

The Twitter account Raider Nation which dedicates itself to coverage of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders reported on Friday that the team will release running back Kory Sheets prior to Tuesday’s free agency deadline.

Sheets, who spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons as a running back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and was the 2013 Grey Cup MVP, even hinted himself on Twitter Friday that his days with the Raiders are done.

So the question becomes: Should the Roughriders sign him for 2015?  Please let your feelings known in the comments section and vote on the poll to the left..

Did Sheets kick the old 96ers dog or make an inappropriate pass at his wife. There's a lot of hate from Schultzy towards Sheets today.

He must be healthy or the Raiders couldn't release him so I say sign him and see if he can regain the magic.

The team spent most of last year shuffling in running backs and have kept the ones they want. Loved Sheets when he was here but he's done.

Bring Sheets to camp to compete! Taman and Sheets need to talk and hopefully reach some sort of deal that makes sense for the team and the former Grey Cup MVP. He was like a comet in 2013, a rare talent for sure.

By all means sign him. I don't think he is done. No harm in bringing him into camp before someone else does.

If someone else gets him and he is still as good as previously, everyone will be wailing and whining as usual about why we didn't sign him

Tired or depressed today? You sound like you lost a family member today!

PS: Offer Sheets 80-thousand and bonuses and see if he takes it. If he does good and if someone offers him more so be it

Bring him in I think he makes us that much better instantly ! He's bounced back from injury before and I'm sure if he signs somewhere else he would burn us

A. Cuz of his injury history there won't be a bidding war for him
B. He deserves to be brought to training camp to see if he's healthy
C. If healthy, he is a significant upgrade over A.Allen

He had a torn achilles (his second one), it will take another year for sheets to return to the Sheets of 2013. No risk in bringing him in, but I think his best days are behind him. Not many 32 year old running backs play like they’re 27, unless your name is Marcus Allen

Riderville hicks living in the past, Sheets don't want nothing to do with you, get over it and move on. Allen a very good running-back.

What due to have to lose if we sign him ? He may be 32 y/o but he has only played 2 years of football in the last 4, so his body is not that of a typical 32 y/o RB. If the Riders due sign him, make sure that it is a incentive laden deal. That way we only pay him if he meets the goals.

Riderville/Hickville = a bunch of soft old goats that go down south for the winter because their not "Saskatchewan Tough"/late Mr. Ruben Berry analogy of this province and it's people.
