STAMPEDERS NIGHT AT THE BRIER

Eight members of the Calgary Stampeders will take part in the festivities Tuesday night as the first Battle of Alberta in Tim Hortons Brier history takes place at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Bo Levi Mitchell, Jon Cornish, Deron Mayo, Randy Chevrier, Rob Cote, Jabari Arthur, Keon Raymond and Brander Craighead will lead the players onto the ice as two Alberta teams go head to head in the evening draw at 6:30 p.m. The historic matchup at the men’s national curling championship pits Team Canada’s John Morris against Alberta’s Kevin Koe. Morris and Koe are former teammates who train at Calgary’s Glencoe Club.

Following the pre-game ceremonies, the Stamps players will be signing autographs for a limited time on the concourse level.

Great to see more CFL teams stepping up and doing more promotion in their communities. Why teams like the Argos don't do this and why the CFL head office doesn't help facilitate it is beyond me.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. It would be awesome if every other CFL market had the passion and fan numbers that we do. It would be a lot of fun.
