The Winnipeg Jets scored four straight goals in the second period en route to a 5-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Mathieu Perreault and Dustin Byfuglien contributed a goal and two assists apiece and Ben Chiarot, Bryan Little and Jacob Trouba also scored as the Jets snapped a six-game losing streak.

Ales Hemsky scored 1:02 into overtime as the Dallas Stars overcame a late tying goal to snap a three-game skid with a 3-2 win over the Rangers. Hemsky snapped the puck past fill-in goaltender Cam Talbot for his ninth goal of the season to lift the Stars to victory after being outshot by New York 20-2 in the third period.

Brian Boyle scored the first of his two goals during Tampa Bay’s three-goal first period and the Lightning beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3. Valtteri Filppula, Nikita Kucherov and Ryan Callahan also scored for the Atlantic Division-leading Lightning, who had a franchise-record 10-game home winning streak end Saturday in a 4-2 loss to Los Angeles.

James Johnson poured in a season-high 20 points to lift the Raptors to an 87-82 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. DeMar DeRozan added 18 points, while Amir Johnson had 15 and Kyle Lowry had 12. Jonas Valanciunas grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds as Toronto won for the eighth time in 10 games.

Jason Day turned a good break into a big win at the Farmers Insurance Open when he won a four-man playoff with a par on the second extra hole at Torrey Pines. Day and JB Holmes each made birdie on the 18th in the playoff, while Scott Stallings and Harris English were eliminated with pars. Day moved to Number 4 in the world, just ahead of Adam Scott.
