HURRICANES SIGN NEW RADIO DEAL

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is very proud to announce their newest media partnership with Rogers Media, as Rock 106 will be the new home of Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey.

Rock 106 has signed a three-year deal with the Hurricanes to broadcast all 72 Hurricanes home and away games starting in the 2014-2015 season. “Hurricanes hockey broadcasts are well established in our community and across Southern Alberta. This new and exciting opportunity with Rock 106 allows us to build upon the foundation that’s already been set and we’re optimistic to see the direction Rock 106 will take us” said Hurricanes Business Manager Terry Huisman.

Tony Marsh, General Manager Rock 106 & 107.7 The River added “Rock 106 is very excited and proud to enter this new three year broadcast partnership with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. On behalf of the staff at Rock 106, I’d like to thank the Lethbridge Hurricanes for selecting us to be your broadcast partner. We look forward to bringing a new level of excitement to the broadcasts, and to bringing the games to more people in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta than ever before. Go Hurricanes!”

The Lethbridge Hurricanes also expect to make an announcement on a new play-by-play broadcaster in the very near future.

Thank goodness for the Canes that they went with Rogers and not Golden West. The league doesn't need more car salesmen making ends meet by doing play by play.
