HITMEN/ICE TELEVISED ON SHAW/ACCESS 7

Ron Robison, Commissioner of the Western Hockey League, announced today that the entire first round series of the 2014 WHL Playoffs between the Calgary Hitmen (3) and the Kootenay Ice (6) will be televised LIVE on SHAW TV and in HD on SHAW Channel 303 or Channel 304 and SHAW Direct Channel 299 throughout Western Canada.  This is the tenth consecutive year that SHAW has provided LIVE television coverage of the WHL Playoffs.

 

SHAW TV will provide extensive coverage of the 2014 WHL Playoffs by broadcasting a full series LIVE in round one and two of the 2014 WHL Playoffs, a WHL Conference Championship Series and the entire WHL Championship Series.

During the opening round series the WHL on SHAW will feature the play-by-play of Dan Russell with analysis from Bill Wilms and rink side hosts Alanna Nolan and Stu Walters.  SHAW’s WHL Central will continue to provide highlights, exclusive features and news from across the WHL during the broadcasts hosted by Andy Neal and with expert analysis with Peter Loubardias and Kevin Sawyer.

Maybe shaw could update their equipment this year. It's terrible, watching these broadcasts I'm not sure if we're in 2014 or 1914

I knew they would have this series with a big market like Calgary plus the possible #1 pick in this series how could they not pick this series over a more evenly matched series between the Pats & Wheat Kings hell even MH & SC would of been a better option
