“I HAD A CONCUSSION”
The Roughriders emerged from their closed practice on Wednesday in a jovial mood. They’ll visit the Calgary Stampeders in Sunday’s 2013 CFL West Division Final and are not interested in engaging in trashtalk with their opponents.
“I got a gag order,” smiled Rider defensive back Dwight Anderson, who was recently voted the CFL’s top talker-of-trash in a TSN poll.
D.A. was reminded of his postgame comment after their 29-25 loss in Calgary on October 26 when he said “Calgary sucks” and that they’ll be back to beat the Stampeders this weekend in the WDF. Period.
“What comment?” Anderson questioned. “I don’t remember. I think I had a concussion that game.”
Rider head coach Corey Chamblin was asked about comments from the Stampeders this week that they’ll enjoy using the Rider locker room in the Grey Cup at Mosaic Stadium.
“Whoever has those thoughts, I think those are all good thoughts,” Chamblin observed. “All they’re saying is they want to be in the Grey Cup. We want to be able to use the locker room also. I think that’s what it is. There are two teams in the West right now and that’s what we’re fighting for; the opportunity to have that locker room.”
Any indication this was sarcasm Rod? Following his 'gag order' was he making a joke that he doesn't remember saying anything?

DA is a smart guy. He was poking fun at Calgary with his "can't remember" comment. Think back to Drew Tate telling reporters after a game last year that he didn't remember the second half at all.

He's a football player and does a fine job. By what standard do we judge. I have met a few 'honoured' successful people in my life … if the cameras were on some of them day to day they may not be so honoured.
