GARRETT GETS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Saskatchewan Roughrider running back Chris Garrett has been named the CFL Gibson's Finest Offensive Player of the Week.

Garrett received this award following Saturday's regular season finale versus the Edmonton Eskimos. The first-year Rider and four year CFL veteran ran for 152 yards and a touchdown on 23 rush attempts while adding three catches for 28 yards.

This is the first time in his career that Garrett has been named offensive player of the week.

It is the eleventh time this season that a Rider has earned player of the week honours after Chris Getzlaf, Tyron Brackenridge, Darian Durant, Rey Williams (twice), Rob Bagg, Kory Sheets (three) and Jock Sanders have all picked up weekly awards.

Congrats to Garret. He was awesome. Glad he was recognized. Seems we have a very capable "next up" for the playoffs.

Congratulations to Garrett, that award was well deserved. He was pumped up and positive on every play. Really good pick up by Taman and O'Day.

Good on Garret.
The team still can't convert in the red zone anywhere near enough to win a playoff game. The futility of it will cost the Riders because championships are won on 5 yard field goals.
