Zgraggen, a native of Lethbridge, Alberta, recorded four goals and 15 assists for 19 points along with 46 penalty minutes in 47 games with Calgary. The Hitmen acquired the 6-1, 210-pound defenceman from the Victoria Royals in January 2013.

Who's going to be our starting backup goalie for the Pats since Engel is gone. Having someone from JR B isn't going to cut it.

The jr B kid was just an emergency back up. For the Engel suspension.
They have until Wednesday to cook something up. Guess we'll see what happens.
I think the Pats had wanted Engel to come in and show he could be the #1 guy. With a GA over 5.00 and a sv pctg just over .800 it just didn't happen. Maybe being away for a long time and his conditioning were not there. It didn't have anything to do with his meltdown in PA. I'm sure he will find a home in Jr A. Zgraggen will help the Pats shore up a sometimes porous defence. They can't win shootout games so they will have to win defensive close games. They still need to find another productive… Read more »
