NFL PICKS FOR COME ON CANADA!: SUPER BOWL LV
Is this the greatest match-up in Super Bowl history? It just might be.
Today, we’ll look at the storylines leading up to Sunday’s game and give you our picks for our friends at ComeOn! Canada.
By now you’ve likely heard plenty of story lines leading up to Sunday’s game and they are fantastic! Let’s explore some of the best that have surface this week on the RP show:
- Old Goat vs Baby Goat: Let’s start with the low-hanging fruit. This isn’t to say it’s not the best storyline, but just the easiest to find. You’ve got 43-year-old Tom Brady on one side trying to win his seventh championship and 25-year-old Patrick Mahomes on the other side trying to win his second straight. The world said Tom was too old years ago but he keeps proving the doubters wrong and now has a chance to do it again. Delicious!
- Old Goat vs New Goat: I’m talking about Rob Gronkowski vs Travis Kelce. Gronk might not be the greatest-of-all-time, but he’s certainly accomplished his fair share by age 31. The former Patriot turned Buccaneer has three Super Bowl rings playing alongside Brady and is a 5x pro bowler. However, there’s no question that Kelce is the new king-of-the-hill when it comes to NFL tight ends. Heck, Kelce is at or near the top of many lists when asked who the best pass-catcher in the game is. We put the question to our viewers this week asking who will have more yards and the resounding answer was Kelce. Maybe the question should be who will have a bigger impact?
- Home Sweet Home: This is the first time in Super Bowl history that a team will play in the game at home. That likely isn’t news to you by now. Is it an advantage? There will be a reported 22,000 at the game on Sunday and, while the crowd likely won’t play as big a factor as it could in a non-pandemic year playing at home, it will be familiar and comfortable for the Bucs. Brady recently told CBS “You won’t catch me dead living in the Northeast anymore.” The QB spend 25-years in the cold-weather climate after growing up in California. Super Bowl weather is expected to be around 14 degrees Celsius with possibly some rain.
- Antonio Brown & Le’Veon Bell: The pair of former Pittsburgh Steelers’ stars find themselves on opposite sides of the field heading into Super Bowl LV. Neither were able to win the game’s ultimate prize as members of the Steelers and both found themselves on the way out after 2018. Now, they’ve found themselves on two of the league’s best and one will stand on top come Monday morning. Neither Bell nor Brown are the featured stars heading into the game but, make no mistake, they absolutely have an opportunity to play a key role on the game’s biggest stage.
- Buc’s D vs Mahomes: Tampa Bay did a great job getting to Aaron Rodgers in the NFL Championship game, piling up five sacks in the process but Mahomes is a different beast. His mobility is dangerous and, as we’ve heard from our analysts all week, Tampa Bay will need to take away the run game and force Mahomes to use his arm. Good news for the Bucs is they are one of the best run stopping units in the NFL.
Those are the storylines we’ve been exploring all week. We’ve also been asking our experts who they’re taking in the big game for our friends at ComeOn! Canada. Let’s get to their picks and then I’ll give you mine.

Ha ha ha ha, this game will end in a ty due to inclement weather, that darn rain. Actually its Kansas City walking away with another Super Bowl Championship in a 37 – 29 victory.
Eating pie, big helping of humble pie. Congrats Tampa Bay Bucs 2020/21 Super Bowl Champions.
