Will the Seahawks survive without Russell Wilson?

Thursday Night Football has been nothing but a money maker for Russell Wilson. Coming into the NFL’s Week 5, Wilson was 9-1 on TNF, and last week, he became the fastest NFL QB to ever reach 100 wins.

Through 10 seasons, Wilson has never missed a start, playing in all 149 regular season games in his career.

“I can’t believe he hasn’t missed a game in 10 years,” said Rod Pedersen. “Who can say that? My gosh we’re talking about the most punished position outside of the running back and he hasn’t missed a game in 10 years.”

But after last night, Wilson’s iron man status is officially up in the air.

In the third quarter against the Los Angeles Rams, Wilson hit his finger on the arm of Aaron Donald on the follow through of a pass attempt.

Now, Wilson is expected to miss significant time with the injury and is seeing a specialist to get to the bottom of the issue.

“It’s unbelievable how he has come in and they have nine straight seasons they haven’t had a losing season and it’s all because of Russel Wilson being able to play game in and game out,” said Darren Dupont on Fridays episode of The Rod Pedersen Show.

While never a good thing for a player to get hurt, it was the most interesting part of last night’s game. Even with Wilson, the first half wasn’t much to get excited about. The third quarter however, had one of the best double punts you will ever see!

After the injury, Geno Smith came in at quarterback for the Seahawks, and while he had some success, it was no Russell Wilson.

“Geno that first drive looked great, but then he came right back down to earth,” said Tori Gurley, a former NFL player and now insider. “That’s why those guys are backups and that’s why Russ is arguably one of the highest paid and best quarterbacks in the league because it’s a huge drop off from him to back up”

Moving forward, Gurley said he can’t see the Seahawks season getting much better without Wilson.

“We will see how the Seahawks will bounce back from this, but I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.”

The Rams certainly took advantage of the bleak situation in Seattle and walked away with a crucial divisional win.

The Rams now sit at 4-1, while the Seahawks are only 2-3, and now without their best player.

Rod, the line of scrimmage was at the 21 yard marker. It looked like he re-kicked the ball at the 22 yard marker.

Watching the CFL Champs (Winnipeg) on the tele vs the Elks. Je’sus has sprinkled far too many CFLeague Superstar players who once plyed their trades on behalf of the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club. One can only surmise that’s why the Saskatchewan Roughriders habitually continue to struggle and lose with only 4 championships to their credit. It’s observed that their is way too much outside interference going on with that football franchise.

Dr. Oz says Wilson can play. If Dr. Oz says so it is so.
