PATS FALL 6-3 TO OIL KINGS, HOST LETHBRIDGE SATURDAY NIGHT

Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats lost 6-3 to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday night at the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are now 6-9-0 on the season, while the Oil Kings improved to 11-3-3 and remain tied for first place in the Central Division.

The Regiment got a pair of standout goals from Connor Bedard, plus the first career goal for Zane Rowan, but their lacklustre second period proved to be the difference. The middle frame is when Edmonton’s lead went from 2-1 to 5-1. The visitors were led by Jacob Boucher, Jakub Demek and Dylan Guenther up front, who each recorded multi-point games. Five different Oil Kings scored in the win.

The Pats host the Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday night to conclude their six game homestand.
