Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics put on a record-setting show, and made Giannis Antetokounmpo look like a genius. Tatum scored an All-Star Game-record 55 points, and Team Giannis beat Team LeBron 184-176 in the NBA’s annual showcase exhibition on Sunday. Tatum had 27 points in the third quarter, another All-Star Game record for any quarter. Donovan Mitchell added 40 for Team Giannis. Jaylen Brown scored 35 points for Team LeBron, while Kyrie Irving had 32 points.

Barrett Hayton scored two minutes into overtime Sunday night to give the Arizona Coyotes a 3-2 win over the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets. Travis Boyd and Nick Schmaltz also scored for the Coyotes, who led 2-0 after the first period. Boone Jenner and Patrik Laine scored for the Blue Jackets, who had their two-game win streak snapped. Elsewhere Ottawa destroyed St. Louis 7-2, Minnesota got past Nashville 4-3, Colorado posted a 3-goal comeback to beat Edmonton 6-5 in OT, Chicago upset Toronto 5-3 with Patrick Kane netting a hattrick and New Jersey downed Winnipeg 4-2.

There are nine Western Hockey League matinees on Family Day Monday including Lethbridge at Regina (2:00 pm CT), P.A. at Brandon and Winnipeg at Swift Current.

Austin Czarnik and Elmer Soderblom scored in the shootout to lift the Grand Rapids Griffins past the Manitoba Moose 5-4 in American Hockey League action Sunday night in Winnipeg. The Moose, which started the game 14 points ahead of the Griffins in the Central Division, remain eight points behind the front-running Texas Stars. Elsewhere, the Pacific Division-leading Calgary Wranglers defeated the visiting Colorado Eagles 5-3. Jeremie Poirier had three assists for the Wranglers who won their 36th game of the year.

The Chicago White Sox might have a possible solution for filling the MLB team’s vacancy at second base: Elvis. Elvis Andrus has agreed to a three-million-dollar, one-year contract with the White Sox. Two people familiar with the negotiations confirmed the deal to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the move was pending a successful physical. The 34-year-old Andrus finished last season with Chicago, hitting .271 with nine homers and 28 R-B-Is in 43 games after he was cut by Oakland.

Tanner (The Bulldozer) Boser of Edmonton is moving down to light-heavyweight to fight Moldova’s Ion (The Hulk) Cutelaba on an April 15th UFC card in Kansas City. The 31-year-old Boser fought as a heavyweight in all eight of his previous UFC bouts. The light-heavyweight limit for non-title fights is 206 pounds, compared to 266 for heavyweight. Cutelaba is 5-8-and-1 in the UFC and has won just one of his last seven bouts.

Bulldog Hanover, who last year became the fastest horse in harness racing history, is the sport’s first unanimous selection for Horse of the Year. The award, first presented in 1947, was announced Sunday night at the U-S Harness Writers Association banquet. The pacer was selected on all 136 ballots. He won 14 of 16 races and led the sport in earnings with 1.64-million-dollars.
