WEDNESDAY DUB ROUND-UP: BEDARD LIGHTS UP WHEAT KINGS
Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats ended their four game drought, defeating the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-3 on Wednesday inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats got off to a solid start, leading he contest 3-0 after one and 4-0 midway through the second period. Tanner Howe scored twice, including a short-handed goal, Connor Bedard tallied four points (2G-2A) while Stanislav Svozil and Brayden Barnett rounded out the scoring. Drew Sim made 27 saves for his 26th win of the season. Tanner Brown also chipped in with a pair of assists in the victory.
The Pats end the six game season series against Brandon, going 4-2. The Wheat Kings dropped their second straight contest, getting goals from Nolan Ritchie, Zakhar Polshakov and Joby Baumuller. Carson Bjarnason got the start, allowing five goals on 19 shots through 40 minutes of action before he was replaced by Nicholas Jones in the third.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Matthew Seminoff had four goals and four assists, Caedan Bankier added three goals and three assists and the Kamloops Blazers pummelled the Victoria Royals 11-1 on Wednesday.
Ryan Michael, Emmitt Finnie, Ryan Hofer and Harrison Brunicke provided the rest of the offence for Kamloops (45-11-4-2), which extended its winning streak to seven games.
Dylan Ernst had a 19-save effort.
Carter Dereniwsky scored for Victoria (15-42-6-1), which dropped its 11th in a row. He spoiled Ernst’s shutout bid with 25 seconds left in the game
Braden Holt stopped 27-of-35 shots before Nicholas Cristiano made 10 saves on 13 shots in 27:20 of relief.

BLADES 3 BRONCOS 2
SWIFT CURRENT, SASK. – Trevor Wong had a goal and two assists as the Saskatoon Blades edged the Swift Current Broncos 3-2.
Aidan De La Gorgendiere and Tanner Molendyk also scored for Saskatoon (45-14-4-1). Austin Elliott made 29 saves.
Josh Filmon and Josh Davies replied for Swift Current (28-31-1-3). Joey Rocha stopped 23 shots.

HITMEN 7 HURRICANES 1
CALGARY – Matteo Danis’s four-goal effort led the Calgary Hitmen in their 7-1 drubbing of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Oliver Tulk, Ethan Moore and Riley Fiddler-Schultz added the others for Calgary (27-27-5-3). Brayden Peters made 37 saves.
Brayden Edwards had the lone goal for Lethbridge (33-24-3-3). Bryan Thomson stopped 30-of-35 shots before Koen Cleaver turned away 5-of-7 shots in 18:25 of relief.

COUGARS 6 ROCKETS 3
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Chase Wheatcroft had two goals and three assists in leading the Prince George Cougars to a 6-3 win over the Kelowna Rockets.
Ethan Samson, Blake Eastman, Koehn Ziemmer and Caden Brown contributed the others for Prince George (34-24-6). Tyler Brennan made 27 saves.
Adam Kydd, Gabriel Szturc and Ethan Mittelsteadt replied for Kelowna (26-35-3). Jari Kykkanen stopped 34 shots.
