TUESDAY RUNDOWN: A REAL DINGER!

We kept the fun rolling and had some great story time on Tuesday’s Episode #963 of The RP Show – Daytime Sportsalk – live from Grey Eagle Resort & Casino in Calgary on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and WQEE Radio! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont kicked things off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) NHL leftovers including a humbling Flames loss at L.A. and a wild Oilers home win over San Jose, 2) At the World Baseball Classic, USA will face Japan for the title Tuesday night, 3) The Blue Jays blank the Tigers 5-0 in spring training and Kevin Gausman is on fire, 4) Dub Hub and Junior A playoffs, 5) The CFL Combine is this week in Edmonton and the panel explained why you should be excited, and 6) What’s the Game Of The Night in the NHL?
  • Sportsnet Montreal’s Eric Engels was scheduled to appear in Hour 1 however had to reschedule so we continued with various NHL topics and Moose said San Jose goalie James Reimer’s boycott of the Sharks Pride jerseys was “dumb”.
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Will you be watching the WBC Final? At press time, 58% of respondents said yes.
  • In Hour 2 we were joined by two-time Stanley Cup champion (Colorado 2001, Tampa Bay 2004) and Brandon Wheat Kings alum Chris Dingman. From Edmonton, “Dinger” predicted Colorado and Tampa Bay will return to the Stanley Cup Final. He also said he’s not surprised his old Wheat Kings GM Kelly McCrimmon pulled a fast one on the L.A. Kings, acquiring goalie Jonathan Quick. Dingman also told three stories of the legendary Ray Bourque joining the Avs in 2001 and how his presence and leadership led to a Stanley Cup victory.
  • Monday’s Rockstar of the Day was Jock Wilson. Tuesday’s was Chris Dingman.
