WEDNESDAY DUB, SJ ROUND-UP: BLADES EVEN THINGS UP
Regina, Sask. — The Saskatoon Blades edged the Regina Pats 4-3 in extra-time Wednesday night to tie the series 2-2, as Jake Chiasson scored the overtime winner inside the Brandt Centre.
The game was tied 1-1 after two periods of play before Regina scored two unanswered goals in the opening minute of the third period, taking a 3-1 lead. For a second straight night, the Blades would score two unanswered goals to tie the game and force overtime, this time coming earlier in the third period.
Charlie Wright tied the game in the final frame before Jayden Wiens got the Blades back in it. Chiasson’s first of the series tied the series at two heading back to Saskatoon for game five on Friday. Egor Sidorov opened the scoring for the Blades who scored first for the first time in the series. Ethan Chadwick earned his second straight win, allowing three goals on 26 shots.
Connor Bedard tallied two goals while Tanner Howe got on the board with his first of the playoffs. Drew Sim faced 37 shots, making 33 saves in the loss.

KELOWNA, B.C. – Thomas Milic and the Seattle Thunderbirds are off to the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.
Milic stopped 19 shots to lead Seattle past the Kelowna Rockets 3-0 on Wednesday night. With the win, the Thunderbirds swept the best-of-seven Western Conference opening series 4-0.

At Medicine Hat, Alta., Ty Nash’s third-period goal proved to be the winner for Winnipeg, which swept the Eastern Conference opening series 4-0. Matthew Savoie and Owen Pederson also scored while Daniel Hauser stopped 30 shots. Dru Krebs and Hunter St. Martin had the goals for the Tigers.

At Calgary, Ben King scored twice as Red Deer took a 3-1 series lead. Ollie Josephson, Hunter Mayo, Jhett Larson and Kai Uchacz also had goals while goaltender Kyle Kelsey stopped 36 shots. Ethan Moore replied for the Hitmen.
WARRIORS 5 HURRICANES 2
At Lethbridge, Alta., Brayden Yager had two goals to lead Moose Jaw to the 4-0 series sweep. Maximus Wanner, Denton Mateychuk and Lynden Lakovic also scored. Tyson Zimmer and Hayden Smith replied for the Hurricanes.
COUGARS 6 AMERICANS 2
At Kennewick, Wash., Koehn Ziemmer and Jaxsen Wiebe both scored twice to help Prince George tie the series 2-2. Chase Wheatcroft and Riley Heidt had the other goals. Tyson Greenway and Jalen Luypen replied for Tri-City.
