PATS FORCE GAME 7

Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats forced a Game 7 with a 5-3 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday inside the Brandt Centre.

The Pats overcame a 1-0 deficit in the first and regained the lead in the third after the Blades tied it. The game was tied 3-3 early in the third and Connor Bedard snapped home his 11th of the playoffs to restore the one goal lead. Zackary Stantz would then deflect a puck into the net to give the Pats a 5-3 lead in the final frame.

Bedard finished the contest with four points, picking up a goal and three helpers. Stanislav Svozil also chipped in with three assists and Alexander Suzdalev scored twice. Tanner Howe added his second of the series and Drew Sim made 27 saves in the game six victory.

The Blades got a two goal game from Trevor Wong and a single from Jayden Wiens. Ethan Chadwick made 15 saves in the loss.

Game 7 goes Monday night at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

WINTERHAWKS 3 SILVERTIPS 2 (OT)

Portland wins best-of-seven series 4-1

PORTLAND, Ore. – Robbie Fromm-Delorme scored at 9:47 of overtime as the Portland Winterhawks edged the visiting Everett Silvertips 3-2 to win their best-of-seven playoff series in five games.

Gabe Klassen and James Stefan also scored for the Winterhawks, who outshot the Silvertips 43-21.

Austin Roest and Jackson Berezowski scored for the Silvertips, who took a 2-1 lead into the third period. Raphael Pelletier chipped in with two assists.

Both teams went 2-for-5 on the power play.

Got damn that Michael Ball a terrible terrible sports announcer, get him the heck out of Regina immediately. Why anyone would give him a microphone is beyond belief.
