TUESDAY RUNDOWN: NHL, NFL, CFL TALK!

They always love the live guests at Century Downs Racetrack & Casino and we welcomed some more down for Episode #1,051 of The RP Show – Daytime Sportstalk – on Game+TV, WQEE Radio, YouTube Live and Podcast! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont got things going with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Baltimore wins the opener of a 4-game set, 4-2 at Toronto on Monday in MLB, 2) More analysis of Jarius Jackson taking over as Offensive Coordinator of the CFL’s Edmonton Elks, 3) Damar Hamlin returns to the field with the Buffalo Bills less than a year after his cardiac arrest incident on Monday Night Football, 4) NFL running backs are considering starting their own union, 5) NHL chatter and who’s better – Flames or Oilers?, and 6) The CEBL playoffs begin Friday with the Play-In games.
  • Hockey analyst Sarina Taylor joined the show at Century Downs and answered tons of viewer questions including the futures of the Oilers & Flames, which perennial bridesmaid will eventually win the Stanley Cup? (She picked Edmonton), and much more.
  • The daily Key Auto Group poll question was: What’s the Edmonton Elks’ biggest problem – Board/Executive, Eskimo Curse, Coaching or Talent? At press time, Coaching was winning the vote.
  • 3-time Grey Cup champ (Lions & Stampeders) and former Jaguar, Steeler and Charger wide receiver Ryan Thelwell joined us at Century Downs for a deep football chat including NFL training camp injuries, the running back conundrum, why there’s a scarcity of star CFL quarterbacks and coach firing stories from the NFL! It was a great chat.
  • Sarina returned later in Hour 2 to answer more NHL questions, including the state of the Winnipeg Jets.
  • Monday’s Rockstar of the Day was Gus Frerotte. Tuesday’s was Ryan Thelwell!
  • If you missed the show you can catch the replay at 10 pm PT/12 am CT on Game+TV, on our YouTube Channel or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.
  • See you at 12 pm ET on Wednesday at Century Downs on Game+TV, WQEE Radio and YouTube Live. Our guest list includes Hockey Night In Canada’s Kelly Hrudey!
