EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Connor McDavid scored 4:34 into overtime and also had two assists to rally the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.
Zach Hyman scored twice to give him 40 for the season as Edmonton won its second straight. Stuart Skinner finished with 30 saves.
RANGERS 4, BLUE JACKETS 1
NEW YORK (AP) — Artemi Panarin had two goals and an assist, Igor Shesterkin stopped 30 shots and the New York Rangers got their 11th win in 12 games, beating Columbus 4-1.
Cole Sillinger scored for the Blue Jackets and Elvis Merzlikins finished with 26 saves. Columbus, last in the East, has lost five of its last eight.
FLAMES-STARS TRADE
The Calgary Flames have traded veteran defenceman Chris Tanev to the Dallas Stars for prospect Artem Grushnikov, a 2024 second-round NHL draft pick and a conditional 2026 third-round pick in a three-way deal involving the New Jersey Devils. Calgary will retain 50 per cent of Tanev’s remaining salary. To obtain the Stars’ fourth-round pick in 2026, New Jersey agreed to cover the other half of Tanev’s remaining contract this season and traded to Calgary the rights to unsigned drafted goaltender Cole Brady.
WHL
Wenatchee, Wash. – The Regina Pats had three different leads on Wednesday but fell 6-3 to the Wenatchee Wild inside the Town Toyota Center in their first ever meeting against the Wild in franchise history.
The Pats were able to string together three different one-goal leads going up 1-0 in the first before leading 2-1 after one and retaking the lead at 3-2 in the second stanza. Braxton Whitehead, Tanner Howe and Logan Peskett scored for Regina while Kelton Pyne made 30 saves in the loss.

Matthew Savoie scored twice while Denton Mateychuk and Jagger Firkus scored once for Moose Jaw.
Warriors netminder Jackson Unger kicked out 27 of 30 shots.

- The Canadian Football League says it’s conducting its own investigation into a lawsuit issued by a former Toronto Argonauts strength-and-conditioning coach against the club for wrongful dismissal and quarterback Chad Kelly for alleged violations of the Ontario Human Rights Code. Later on Wednesday, the Argos said in a statement they will co-operate with the CFL’s investigation. The CFL and Argos statements come a week after the complainant filed a statement of claim with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, alleging a pattern of harassment by Kelly, beginning with unwanted romantic advances and escalating into instances of threatening language.
- Defensive lineman Craig Roh, who won a Grey Cup with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019, has died. He was 33. Roh’s wife, Chelsea, confirmed his death on social media. Roh, from Scottsdale, Arizona, played with the B-C Lions for three seasons before joining the Bombers in 2018. He had 110 tackles and 34 sacks over his career.

- The New York Jets expected quarterback Zach Wilson to emerge as the new face of their franchise. Three years later, he’s looking for a new team. General manager Joe Douglas said the Jets have given Wilson permission to seek a trade, perhaps marking an end to his tumultuous stint in New York. He went 12-21 as a starting quarterback.
- Chiefs owner Clark Hunt admitted Wednesday the Super Bowl champions are overdue for renovations to their practice facilities after the NFL Players Association’s annual report card graded Kansas City the second-worst team in the league overall. The report card gave the Chiefs failing grades for their nutritionist/dietician, locker room and training staff. Hunt was given an F-minus as the owner of the franchise. At the top of the rankings were the Miami Dolphins, who had no grade lower than an A-minus in any category and received the highest weighted score of any team. The Minnesota Vikings had no grade lower than a B and had the second-best score. Rounding out the top five in weighted score were the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Luka Doncic had 30 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists in leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 136-125 win over the Toronto Raptors. Kyrie Irving contributed 29 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter for Dallas. Immanuel Quickley scored a team-high 28 points for Toronto which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Rafael Lantigua’s (lahn-TEE’-gwaz) seventh-inning sacrifice fly brought home Luis De Los Santos with the go-ahead run in the Toronto Blue Jays‘ 3-2 pre-season victory over the Tampa Bay Rays today in Dunedin, Florida. Andrew Bash struck out three over two scoreless innings for the win. T-J Brock pitched the ninth for his first save. Toronto improved to 2-3 in Grapefruit League play.
