Wednesday Commentary: Soon

(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on All New Hits 98 & LTD Radio)
It’s Random Thoughts Wednesday on the RP Commentary! Let’s goooooo …
#1 – Wouldn’t it be nice if things always went according to plan? The pundits said the Habs had taken control of their second round series with Buffalo. Then the Sabres bit back with a 3-2 victory in Game 4 at the Bell Centre on Tuesday to tie the series up 2-2 going back to the Empire State.
Sure – things could always go according to plan. But that would be boring.
#2 – I’m not a Habs fan, per se, but they’ve included me in their tribe and it’s a lot of fun predicting game by game which Montreal legend will carry the torch out for the pregame ceremony. Last night it was Guy Carbonneau. Last week it was Chris “Knuckles” Nilan, and he’ll join us on the RP Show today. I’m still waiting for Carey Price.
#3 – N.B.A.V. — Never bet against Vegas. Pavel Dorofeyev scored in overtime last night to give the Golden Knights a 3-2 victory over Anaheim in the Fortress, and a 3-2 series lead. Vegas is 4-0 in overtime this spring, matching a franchise playoff record.
#4 – The Toronto Blue Jays led the majors in comeback victories with 49 last year. This year, they’re nowhere close to that and fell 7-6 in 10 innings to visiting Tampa Bay Tuesday night. I can’t wait to get back to Canada this summer to enjoy Blue Jays baseball on the tube.
Soon.
And #5 – Can we find a way to wedge CFL talk in here everyday all summer? I’ll at least try. Training camps are days old and from what I see, all the talk remains about the rule changes for 2026. The league sent out a refresher in a news release on Tuesday. I still don’t understand why the greatest brand of football needed so much changing.
But at least we’re talking about it.
That’s today’s Rod Pedersen Commentary.
