ALOUETTES TURN DOWN CARTER
If Duron Carter resurfaces in the CFL, it won’t be with the Montreal Alouettes.
TSN 690 Radio’s Rick Moffat – the Voice of the Alouettes – Tweeted on Wednesday morning that the Alouettes are out of the running to sign the free agent receiver. Carter was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders Saturday night.
“But for DC, 1 door opens and another slams shut,” Moffat Tweeted from his account @RickMoffat. “Alouettes talked but won’t have any further discussions with him about a return to Montreal.”
In Wednesday’s Leader Post, Carter said he’s had interest from the Montreal Alouettes, BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The 27-year old from Fort Lauderdale, FL is a 2-time CFL All-Star and spent three seasons with the Alouettes but his pro resume also includes stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the Roughriders.
