What stood out for me on this road trip was the maturing of kids like Freadrich and Leschyshyn. They played well and I thought found another gear. Freadrich will be a tower of power for this team eventually, as will Jake. What i didn't like was the play of some vets, particularly on defence. We did get 5 points out of the 6 games but it could have been so much more. Each game it was something. An assortment of goaltending, discipline, turnovers, no offence but what stood out the most was the play of veteran defencemen. Additionally we were… Read more »

IMO what is lacking is REAL veteran leadership. You need the 19/20 yr olds to guide the younger players especially as the season goes on. The 18/17 year olds as much as they are considered vets for the most part haven't been through the grind long enough and also haven't had the opportunity to learn from the older guys because of all the trades last year. 2 of the 20s this year have been traded for so they they don't quite have the same impact. Without Williams around too that compounds the issue. My opinion only is that what they… Read more »

4 tough games in 5 days and I think it showed last night early…but never the less the comebacks from 2 goal deficits were nice to see (about the only thing JP was positive on…oh, and that Brooks was thier best defensman …LOL..he cracks me up). The Americans are "giants"…2 roster players under 6 feet tall, and most around 200lbs..you could see them manhandling the Pats along the boards, etc. Agree that Freadrich played very well when given the ice time, and his confidence is growing; handles the puck well and has a good (low) shot. Like R Cole with… Read more »

Don't quite understand how they are trying to "short cut the rebuild". They traded Wapple (20 year old) to make room for Williams coming off injury, and to give the young tenders playing time, thats rebuilding. Cooper (20 year old year) had an unfortunate injury riddled year and wasn't producing points wise either, likely because of imjury more than anything else, so getting Sanford as a replacement 20 year old for Cooper is an upgrade offensively, but not a shortcut to rebuild by any means. Having Williams out of the lineup so much is definitely a detriment to the Leadership… Read more »

On the west coast trip pats had 24 power play chances and only scored 5 times that is the problem.

Last three games of road trip had 10 chances and scored 0 times. Houston we have a very BIG PROBLEM.

CAN THE COACHING STAFF NOT SEE THAT ?????????????,AND IF SO WHY ARE THEY NOT FIXING IT?
