ARGONAUTS 33 ALOUETTES 19
TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts reclaimed the CFL East division lead on Saturday with a 33-19 victory over the Montreal Alouettes at BMO Field.
Running back James Wilder Jr. put together another dominant performance as the Argos’ lead back, finishing the game with 218 totals yards, including 141 yards on the ground and 77 yards receiving. Wilder has accumulated an incredible 475 total yards in the past two games alone.
Quarterback Ricky Ray continued his winning ways against the Alouettes, improving his personal record against Montreal to 6-3 as a member of the Argos. Ray finished the game with 182 passing yards and a touchdown strike to receiver S.J. Green.
The Argonauts’ defence also played a major role in the win, adding four sacks and three interceptions, including a 75-yard interception return touchdown from defensive back Alden Darby.
Montreal quarterback Darian Durant was 25/38 for 231 yards and was on the hook for all three interceptions.
Week 15 action will see the Montreal Alouettes travel to Calgary to face the Stampeders next Friday, while the Toronto Argonauts will go up against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a road game on Saturday.
